MESSAGE FROM THE
FREEWAYBLOGGER
Dear Freewaybloggers,
Well, it looks
like you did it again.
Do You Feel a Draft Day was a big success, with a lot more signs
going up and for much longer durations. Collectively we reached over
ten million people yesterday, and that's a conservative estimate.
Great, great work!
On November 2nd, it’s “Did You Vote” Day. We are encouraging people
to post freeway banners (and smaller freeway signs—I just can’t
overemphasize the value of small signs) to encourage people to hit
the polls. Of course, if you want to recommend a particular
candidate, well, that’s what free speech is all about. You can find
out who else is posting in your town by writing me, or checking out
the yahoogroup:

Remember, every day is Free Speech day and the "Free Speech Zone" in
this country extends from sea to shining sea. Don't let anybody tell
you otherwise, unless they're a cop, and then I suggest letting them
tell you whatever they want and responding with whatever you think
they'd like to hear. "Yes Sir!" has always worked well for me. That
said, if you’d like to stand on the overpass and HOLD your sign, you
are protected under federal law. In the case that you encounter
opposition from local law enforcement officials, please contact me
and I will work to secure legal representation for you, as well as
media coverage.
As we and the world wait with baited breath for November 2nd and
whatever comes after, I trust you'll keep some cardboard and paint
on hand, ready to use at a moment's notice. Free Speech and the
ballot are all we have to protect democracy from the Rove's and
Ashcrofts of this world, so please vote for the candidates who'll
best protect those rights. Until then, I hope you'll join us by
using your right to free speech to encourage others to use their
right to vote.
Thanks Again, All of You...
